Have you ever had days in the office where it seems as though it’s everyone's first day on the job? You think to yourself, "What's going on? We have systems in place, why is no one following them? Where's the communication? Where's the teamwork?"
Every executive in a dental office has those days, and it can be very frustrating. It’s a signal that it’s time for a regroup, an all team meeting (ATM).
All hands on deck. Time to refocus.
It’s very difficult to work ON the practice while working IN the practice. A monthly ATM provides the opportunity to regroup and refocus the team on the systems that have been built within the office. It doesn't have to be a long meeting, usually 1 1/2 hours with a planned agenda is sufficient.
Take this time to reconnect and discuss what’s working and what’s not working. Revisit your systems and why they're important. Take the time to freshen up on boot camp skills, communication, and role playing.
This is a quick, efficient way to focus the team and improve daily operations. It’s amazing what can be accomplished by simply taking the time with our teams to discuss why we do what we do and where there are opportunities to improve.
All team meetings can prevent those crazy days when it seems everyone is on a different page. Try incorporating an ATM into your monthly schedule and watch how the performance of your office improves every month.
